No, all are welcome. This course is designed for all spiritual seekers, regardless of prior experience or knowledge in shamanism. It's a welcoming space for beginners and those with a background in the field.


The course spans a year, with 13 sessions corresponding to lunar cycles, we meet approximately once every 28 days. Each session typically lasts from morning to early afternoon. Additionally, there may be optional homework and integration practices to complete between sessions to deepen your practice.


The course covers a wide range of shamanic topics, including Medicine Wheel teachings, how to create a Mesa or medicine bundle, shamanic healing techniques, plant spirit medicine, shamanic journeying, meditation, ancient shamanic ceremonies, gong and drum healing and more.
  

The course includes monthly live sessions that follow a structured format involving teachings, personal work, healing practices, and group discussions. 

The schedule may vary, but a typical session includes morning wisdom teachings from Sorrell and downloads from your spirit guides, and in the afternoon we focus on healing and ceremonial work.
 

The Mesa, also known as a Medicine Wheel or Medicine Bundle, is a collection of sacred stones that represent the directions and allies in shamanic practice. 

Your Mesa serves as a living memoir and a guide, reminding you of your journey's progress, your innate gifts, and messages from the spirit, and providing direction for your continued expansion and manifestation of future dreams. These sacred stones will be imbued with healing energy during each ceremony, becoming essential tools for your self-healing, divination, and spiritual connection. 

Your Mesa is a living being - it is a deeply magical and mysterious being, rich with connections to the cosmos. A teacher, a guide, a healer, a multidimensional truth seeker, a pathfinder and a reality weaver.

I will guide you through this process on our first ceremony day together. You will source the 13 sacred stones from wild spaces, representing the directions and allies we invoke during the course. Additionally, you will receive one stone chosen uniquely for you by the instructor, symbolising your connection to the Great Spirit.

Are there any specific prerequisites or restrictions for enrolment?
 
No prerequisites are required. This course is open to all spiritual seekers. There are no restrictions based on prior experience or background.
  

If you find yourself unable to attend any of our live sessions, don't worry. We've got you covered! We will provide you with supporting videos, recordings, and PDF materials that will allow you to access the content from the session and work through it at your own pace.
 
While it is certainly possible for you to complete the course independently using these recordings and PDFs, I highly recommend joining us in the live sessions whenever you can. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the training and receive the maximum benefits.
 


Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to join our private Facebook group, where you can connect with your peers for ongoing support and discussions throughout your journey. We're here to ensure you have all the resources and assistance you need, regardless of your schedule.
  

This course is part of a larger apprenticeship should you wish to continue your studies and become a qualified professional and insured shamanic practitioner. This course is primarily designed for personal growth, healing, and spiritual development. While it provides valuable skills and knowledge, it does not, on its own, lead to a professional certification or qualification, but it will do if you choose to continue on the apprenticeship path with Sorrell. 

Completing the course can lead to profound personal transformation, spiritual awakening, and the development of shamanic skills. Participants often report increased self-awareness, healing, and a deeper connection to the spiritual realm.
 


You may also wish to continue with your training with Plant Spirit Medicine Woman as part of the apprenticeship programme to become a qualified, professional and insured shamanic healing practitioner.

Participants must be at least age 18 to enrol. But there are other events that we offer that are accessible for those under 18s such as our community drum circle and cacao ceremonies.
 

Yes, this course is safe for pregnant individuals and those with other health considerations. Your mental health is a priority, therefore if you have a history of psychosis this course may or may not be suitable for you, and is worthy of discussion before you commit. Please inform us of any specific health concerns, and we will provide guidance accordingly.

Prior to the first session, you only need to ensure you have a journal, although we will always have spares if you forget. On the opening day, expect to be welcomed into our sacred ceremony space by Sorrell and connect with fellow participants.
