Our Magical Drum Birthing Ceremony
Led by Sorrell, aka Plant Spirit Medicine Woman, a seasoned shamanic guide with three decades of experience, trained by three different Native American Lakota lineage and three Northern European Shamanic Drum teachers. Held warmly within a small shamanic tribe, with limited places for up to 6 participants. This is your chance to experience a life-changing, transformational shamanic ceremony that offers healing and deep connection to spirit in a profoundly meaningful way.
Your Magical Drum Materials
Our ethically sourced animal skin is Buffalo. Their spirit will choose you as their healing channel and spiritual partner during our sacred drum healing ceremony. Buffalo teaches us about abundance, liberation, strength and unity. Buffalo helps us to carry the heavy burdens that come with being a human with ease and grace. Buffalo helps us feel grateful and channel abundance, be harmonious with nature and bring peace to our hearts. Encouraging healthy relationships, joy and wellness.
Our sustainably harvested wood frame will be Oak. Oak teaches us about leadership - stepping into our power with courage and truth, whilst also being generous and wise.
This drum will help you to create a safe space for yourself and others to connect to their inner divinity, heal, bring peace and tap into abundance with gratitude.
You may also wish to enhance your drum's power and potential by adding a sacred stone or crystal.
Sorrell infuses sacred herbs in the waters used to birth our drums, imbuing them with magic and healing properties, creating the most powerful spiritual healing tools possible.
You will be invited to source your own stick for the drum wand making (aka a drum stick), and there will be supplies available if you prefer.
Day one: we open our Sacred drum birthing space, in a traditional Lakota way with smudging and prayers. And awaken our connection with the sacred partners that will create our spirit drum, the animal hides and the wood frames, preparing them for their rebirth on day two. We will also prepare our rattles for their sacred journey into being.
Day two: we begin with a brew of Ceremonial Cacao and Sacred Corn on the second day of our ceremony to help us open our hearts and increase our stamina, as we weave and connect deeply focusing on the birthing of these magical drum beings.
You will be guided in creating your drum wand, to complete the magical set of Shamanic drum and wand. Using natural fabrics and organic wool, and a stick of your choice.
Once we have completed the weaving and wand making, Sorrell will guide us on a shamanic drum journey to meet the spirit of your new drum and to discover their unique gifts and qualities. All drums have a consciousness and a unique personality, and it is necessary to get to know them so you can access their full power.
We complete our drum birthing practice together with a blessing and naming ceremony.
The rattle is a longer project - as it needs to dry fully before it will be completed with 405 stones that represent your spirit guides. You will be given full instructions, all the materials you need, and a short simple video to complete this shamanic magical tool with confidence.
Emotional Release and Realignment
Expect tears to mingle with laughter as you birth your drum, releasing and offering new realisations and realignments of your energy body. As we weave our drums into being, we rebirth ourselves too, reflecting our unique healing paths.

Meet Your Shamanic Drum Birthing Practitioner:
Sorrell Robbins is a seasoned shamanic practitioner with 3 decades of experience in drum healing, shamanism, teaching, and leading healing ceremonies. During our time together, she will share ancient wisdom on birthing and working in circles and ceremonies with your drum. Helping you to fully access the healing power of your sacred drum and deepen the connection to your unique spiritual path and innate shamanic gifts.
Your financial investment: £350 for an enriching two-day experience, inclusive of ALL drum-making and ceremonial materials.
Your time investment: this is a physical experience, so we try our best to keep the day to a 10 am to 4 pm schedule so we are healing and not exhausting ourselves! There will be a short break for lunch on both days. Everyone will get personal attention to help them complete their rums within this time frame.
